Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 24, 2026
Last updated: September 24, 2026
The short version: ParentWellCare places AI-powered check-in calls to a loved one and shares a summary with their family. We collect only what we need to do that. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and the person receiving calls can stop them at any time.
1. Who we are
ParentWellCare LLC ("ParentWellCare," "we," "us," or "our") is a New Jersey company based in Freehold, New Jersey. We provide AI-assisted daily wellbeing check-in calls for adults, with summaries and alerts sent to their family (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. If the two conflict on a privacy matter, this policy controls.
2. Whose information this covers
- Customers: the adult who signs up and manages the account, usually an adult child.
- Recipients: the adult who receives the check-in calls, usually a parent.
- Designated contacts: family members who receive summaries and alerts.
- Website visitors and anyone who contacts us.
3. Information we collect
When a Customer signs up
- Your name, email address, and mobile number;
- The Recipient's name, phone number, relationship to you, preferred call time, time zone, and call language;
- Your notification choices, such as whether you want daily summaries by text;
- Records of the consent and disclosures you agreed to, including the date and time, the wording shown, your IP address, and your browser and device type; and
- Billing information. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we keep only the references Stripe gives us to your customer record and payment method.
From the Recipient
- Their consent reply (for example, replying YES to our text) and the date and time it was given;
- Any other text replies, such as STOP or HELP; and
- What they say during check-in calls, described below.
During check-in calls
- Voice: the Recipient's voice is converted to text in real time so our AI can understand and reply. [CONFIRM BEFORE PUBLISHING: calls are not recorded and audio is not stored. If calls are recorded, this line must say so and state how long recordings are kept.]
- Conversation text: the words exchanged during the call. [CONFIRM BEFORE PUBLISHING: whether the full transcript is saved, or only the summary. Choose one: "We do not store the full transcript after the summary is created." OR "We store the call transcript for [period]."]
- Call summary: an AI-generated summary covering overall wellbeing, health and body, sleep, appetite and eating, mood, and connection and activity;
- Potential concern flags: a record of whether the AI identified a possible safety or wellbeing concern, and a short description of it; and
- Call records: the date, time, duration, and status of each call.
Because these are wellbeing conversations, they may include information about health, such as pain, symptoms, sleep, eating, or mood, if the Recipient chooses to mention it. We do not ask for medical records, diagnoses, or insurance information, and we do not use this information to diagnose or treat anyone.
When you contact us
Emails, WhatsApp messages, and other messages you send us, and our replies.
4. How the AI check-in calls work
At the scheduled time, our system places a phone call to the Recipient. Our AI assistant, Elise, tells the Recipient that she is an AI. During the call:
- Our telephone provider (Twilio) carries the call audio;
- A speech-to-text provider (Deepgram) converts the Recipient's speech to text;
- An AI model provider (Anthropic) reads the text and writes Elise's replies, and after the call writes the summary;
- A voice provider (ElevenLabs) turns Elise's replies into speech. Elise's replies can repeat what the Recipient said; and
- The summary is stored in our database (Supabase) and sent to the Customer and designated contacts by email (Resend) and, if chosen, by text (Twilio).
If the AI identifies a possible concern, we send an alert to designated contacts by text message, email, and phone call. We do not contact 911 or any emergency service. AI can make mistakes and can miss or misunderstand things; see our Terms of Service.
5. How we use information
- To place check-in calls at the chosen time and in the chosen language;
- To create and send summaries and alerts to the Customer and designated contacts;
- To ask for, record, and honor consent and opt-outs;
- To manage accounts, free trials, subscriptions, and billing;
- To answer questions and provide support;
- To keep the Service secure, prevent misuse, fix problems, and improve how the Service works; and
- To comply with the law and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for targeted advertising, and we do not send marketing messages to Recipients.
6. Who we share information with
The Recipient's family
Sharing with family is the purpose of the Service. Call summaries and alerts about the Recipient are sent to the Customer and to any designated contacts on the account. The Recipient agrees to this when they consent to receive calls.
Service providers
We use these companies to run the Service. They may process personal information only to provide their services to us.
- Twilio: phone calls and text messages;
- Deepgram: converting speech to text during calls;
- Anthropic: the AI model that holds the conversation and writes summaries;
- ElevenLabs: Elise's voice;
- Railway: hosting the call system;
- Supabase: our database;
- Vercel: hosting our website and app;
- Resend: sending emails;
- Stripe: payment processing;
- Google Workspace: our business email; and
- Meta (WhatsApp): if you message us on WhatsApp.
We may change providers as the Service develops and will update this list when we do.
Other disclosures
We may disclose information when required by law or legal process; to protect the safety, rights, or property of any person or of ParentWellCare; to investigate fraud or misuse; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case the information would remain subject to this policy.
7. Calls, texts and consent
Before any recurring check-in calls or messages begin, we ask the Recipient directly, by text message, whether they agree to receive AI-powered check-in calls. Calls start only after they reply YES. We keep a record of that consent.
Customers agree to receive account messages and safety alerts when they sign up. Daily summary texts are optional and need a separate opt-in.
Anyone can stop text messages by replying STOP. A Recipient can stop calls at any time by replying STOP, by telling Elise during a call, or by emailing care@parentwellcare.com. Message and data rates may apply. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy:
- Account and call information (including summaries and call records): while the account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward in case the account is reopened or a question arises.
- Consent and opt-out records: for as long as we need them to show that calls and messages were authorized, which may be longer than the account itself.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Our service providers may keep their own logs (for example, message delivery logs) for limited periods under their own policies.
9. Deleting your information
A Customer can ask us to delete their account and the information connected to it. A Recipient can also ask us to delete information about them, even if someone else set up the account. Email care@parentwellcare.com from the email address or phone number on file, or tell us how to verify your identity.
We will delete or de-identify the information, except for anything we must keep by law or need for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or to prove consent. We will tell you if we keep anything and why.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have about you and get a copy;
- Correct information that is wrong;
- Delete your information;
- Withdraw consent you have given; and
- Not be treated differently for using these rights.
To use any of these rights, email care@parentwellcare.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny your request, we will explain why and how you can ask us to reconsider.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls on our database, and limiting who can access the system. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
12. Where information is processed
ParentWellCare is currently offered only in the United States. Our providers process information in the United States and, in some cases, other countries where they operate, under their agreements with us.
13. Children
The Service is only for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
14. Cookies and website data
Our website and app use cookies and similar browser storage that are needed to keep you signed in and make the Service work. When you use our site, we also receive basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type. We do not use advertising cookies or sell information collected on our website.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will change the "Last updated" date when we do. If we make a material change, we will notify Customers by email or in the Service before it takes effect, and we will ask for consent where the law requires it.
